Technical aid is provided
The association owns an educational kit, (technical index card, cocoons, bobbins, fabric samples, shuttles, Jacquard punched cards...) that we lend to teachers on request, in order to prepare the visit in a fun way.

Guided tour with displays
Age? from 7 years old
When ? From Tuesday afternoon to Saturday (9AM-12PM/2PM-6.30PM) by appointment, except on public holidays.
How ? We divide the groups into smaller groups (maximum 25 students per workshop) in order to circulate in the two places. If it is the case that you wish to visit only one workshop or if the group exceeds 50 students, you can expect half an hour of free time during the tour.
Lenght ? approximately half an hour for one workshop, which includes ten minutes walking disance between Godart’s street and Richan’s street. As a result, make sure you plan about one hour and twenty minutes for the whole tour.

Discovery visits
Age? 4 to 6 year olds
When ? From Tuesday afternoon to Saturday (9AM-12PM/2PM-6.30PM) by appointment, except on public holidays.
How ? Each child touches the raw materials: cocoons, silk threads, bobbins, diverse silk fabrics.
A simple weaving technique is demonstrated to help them understand how the threads interlace and compose a fabric. Then, we will demonstrate the “real trimming looms” for the kids for a sonorous display! A surprise is waiting for them at the end of the tour!
Lenght? 45 minutes
Maxi : 10 pupils
NB: if your group exceeds 10 members, you can keep the children busy (while are waiting for their tours) with a booklet allowing them to discover the neighbourhood.

For the children from 7 to 12:
Age? from 7 to 12 year old
When ? From Tuesday afternoon to Saturday (9AM-12PM/2PM-6.30PM) by appointment, except on public holidays.
How ? After an educational visit in the former trimming workshop which belonged to Mrs. Letourneau, children weave on little looms adapted to their size. This activity stimulates concentration, coordination and children’s imagination.
Creative session: each child goes back home with the sample they made themselves.
Lenght? 1 hour and a half
Maxi : 12 pupils
